SORRY I realise the last couple of posts have asked you poor students to do some academic style work, so time to relax and have a try at this game, where you use your knowledge to run a farm:
Potatoes seems to make lots of profit for most of the time unless there is a redution in subsides.(Is it because the game is set for UK economy?) Barleys and Oats can make lots of profit when their previous price is low(<40). Peas which is a mostly export gd in the game heavily depend on exchange rate. However, I don't understand why I can make lots of profit when the exchange rate is rising by selling peas(Contradicted with I've learnt about exchange rate...Maybe Inelastic demand) . Sugar never earn lots (No idea...) Fallow never happen on my farm!!!
Thinking while playing led to higher result! But I still don't understand, how exchange rate works there. I guess, there are some factors I haven't noticed?
"Your final management rating was 95/100.

>>> Oh that is a bit scary!
"You can't take it with you but you made £19026.72 during your time as a farm manager."
>>> And I was just growing potatoes from year to year
Yes Anton, just accept that your future will be as a potato farmer.......
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the effect of Government introduces minimum wages on my farm, do I hire any workers?

Fun and interesting game which I've addicted for my Sunday holiday
I hope it hasn't taken too much of your Sunday. Giving a link to your score is very honest behaviour!
